I guess the reason that I have such a sick fascination with CraigsList's Missed Connections is because it all just seems so... futile and desperate, yet full of optimism and hope. The below is probably the most desperately hopeful entry I've seen in a long, long time!

Ad: "If any cute guys remember a tall, thin, blonde-haired, blue-eyed cool cat with glasses working at the Von's at Sunset and Virgil from in the early-1990's, hit me up. I hope to hear from you, the long lost love from my past, in the real world."
Chances are that if your Missed Connection happened before the Internet was even invented, you're probably not going to find your "long lost love" via a CL posting.
